From our 2011 Meet & Greet at Vendetta
It’s the official Unofficial Meet & Greet.
In town early (or live in town)? Join us Thursday, May 23, for Happy Hour at one of Portland’s newest veg-friendly joints. Hug old friends. Shake the hands of new ones. Get to know your fellow attendees over cocktails and root beer and maybe even some fried pickle chips.
White Owl Social Club, 1305 SE 8th Ave., Portland (at the corner of 13th)
We’ll be there, very unofficially, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. This is super casual, not hosted or structured in any way. It’s not part of the conference, so you’re responsible for your own tab. And it is a bar, so it’s a 21+ establishment—bring your ID. Apologies to our under-21s! Here’s the Facebook event, for your smartphone-syncing pleasure.

Hey Amber! Nothing (un)official yet – but there’s a local vegan travel film team trying to put together a screening that just may be happening that night, wink wink.

I was here just the other day. It looks like the Beet Burger was replaced with a Vegan Deep fried Mac ‘N’ Cheese sandwich.
I’ve been told that both will be on their updated menu. For the record, I really enjoyed the mac & cheese burger (which is $5 during happy hour). Really, really. Especially with some hot sauce.

Boo. I turn 21 in June. I remember seeing something about a bob’s red mill tour somewhere though? Is that still happening?

White Owl Social Club actually seems to be mixing up their 21+ policy – we will post any updates.
Unfortunately, we heard yesterday that Bob’s Red Mill had to cancel the tour that day.
However! There will be an all ages and free screening of a vegan travel show that evening following the screening, at People’s Co-op. Details are coming next on the blog!
